An organ is a bodily unit with a specific function. In German, the word ‘Organ’ can also describe the human voice and volition. These sculptures show a transposed process of an organ. Altering this system would lead to an organ failure or loss of voice. But instead these organs become independent from these principles and function on their own conditions.

Dichroic glass or ceramic parts are embedded in the surfaces of the works; these elements reflect or connect the inside with the outside. Some of the structural surfaces of the sculptures have milled out engravings which look like the tracks of bark beetles or even an abstract nervous system. All these shapes, materials and elements form unique sculptural organisms. Looking at the sculptures the question arises whether you look at the outside or inside of the work?
